organize
Organise the collection, and see who each link belongs to
Sections inside a collection
- Group links under subtitles like "Start here" or "Tools". Entirely optional: collections without them look exactly as before.
- In the editor, "New section" adds a heading. Moving a link below one puts it in that section — position is the grouping, with no menu and no extra step.
- Moving a heading carries its links along. Removing a heading deletes no links: they stay right where they are.
- On the public page, the list gets a title per section with its count; the mosaic shows the section as a tag inside each tile.
Each link's site icon
- When you save a link, Quickrefs keeps the site's icon. It shows when the page has no cover image — the case for nearly every documentation site and tool.
- In the public list the icon comes first: a wide image squeezed into a small square is an unreadable smudge, and an icon is made to be seen small.
Fixes
- Changing a tile's image failed with no explanation. Two causes: files over 4.5 MB were cut off before reaching the server, and a read permission was missing. Images are now shrunk in your browser before uploading.
- The choice between mosaic and list works again on the public page.
